Manuel The Band

Emerging from Long Beach,CA the Rock-Pop-Jam Band, Manuel The Band, was founded by songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Manuel Grajeda. Described as “a breath of fresh air” by Julie Montante of Coachella Valley Weekly, Manuel The Band has fused an unorthodox range of instruments not normally seen in the pop-music genre.

Manuel The Band are Manuel Grajeda (Vocals, Guitar), Brandon Charlesworth (Drums), George Madrid (Pedal Steel), Richard Fernandez (Trombone), Kevin Nowacki (Bass), and Matt Kalin (Saxophone).

Ellen Warkentine is a theatrical multi-instrumentalist composer/performer based in Los Angeles.

Her melodic work references avant-pop, early jazz, and vaudeville; her influences include Kurt Weill, Bjork, and Stephin Merritt. She is a long-time collaborator with the award-winning Four Larks Theatre.

She is co-creator and composer of the absurd “fauxpera” LOLPERA, and has written music and musical directed for productions at The Garage Theatre in Long Beach, The Long Beach Playhouse, UCB, and Four Clowns, among others.

Alyssandra Nighswonger

Alyssandra is a Long Beach gem who plays guitar and sings like a bird. She plays the kind of music that makes you put down your beer and think about your mother. Hailing from local bands, The Dovelles, Lucky Penny,Alyssandra and the Daymakers and toting the influences of Billie Holiday, Harry Nilsson, Nick Drake, and Feist,Alyssandra has a unique sweet and salty style that will give you all the swoons.

Janie has played through the winding and tumultuous road that led the band through break ups, break throughs, and the type of gritty love that gives them the true blue family band approach that hones the kind of music that brings you back home. Share the Sky is the first release of a series of songs by Janie and features the band’s original line-up with Hill, singer/guitar player, Tyler Berg, drummer, Patrick O’Konski, pedal steel player, George Madrid, and bassist, David Sauer. The songs were a labor of love produced by the band and recorded by Sauer, taking inspiration from classic country western, psychedelic influences, and modern art rock, to paint a vivid picture of the American experience today.
